What's New in Omega Drivers?

* Based on the Official 43.45 drivers.

* Support for new cards: GeForce FX 5x00 and Quadro FX x000

* Added the new Nvidia taskbar utilitie.

* Removed a tweak not used in Dx9.


What was in previous Omega Drivers?

* Fixed a very BIG bug in the Quality drivers.

* Eliminated the duplicated AGP settings page.


Other Important Notes:

1. The drivers can be installed just by upgrading your current drivers, that is, when changing between the same driver series, for example: 4x.xx->4x.xx, 5x.xx->5x.xx, etc.

2. If you are changing from one series to another, ex 4x.xx->5x.xx, it is recommended that you use Driver Cleaner before upgrading, this is done to resolve some Control Panel issues between driver series.

3. When possible use default settings.

4. If you installed the QUALITY DRIVERS, in the Nvidia Control Panel, Direct3D Settings, the MipMapDetail will be BLANK, DON'T CHANGE IT!, if you change it the extra detail level in D3D will be gone.

5. Don't use any 3rd party tweakers to change hidden settings, they will override my settings and make my work useless. Use them only when you need to change a specific tweak for a specific game, to make the game work.

6. You can change ANY setting in the NVIDIA CP, except MipMapDetail for D3D if you are using the Quality Driver, since most of the tweaks I do are internal, they can't be changed using the normal Control Panel.

7. Install the included Multires utility to have access to ALL the available resolutions in the Omega Drivers, standard Windows doesn't show all of them.

8. Always make sure you have the latest AGP chipset drivers for your MB or your laptop installed and Dx9b, this will prevent compatibility issues and other problems in games.

9. After installing the new drivers and rebooting, if your desktop is SLOW and/or games won't run, is because AGP acceleration has been disabled by Windows, in order to fix this you MUST re-install the latest AGP chipset drivers for your Mother Board (this also includes laptops).


Extra info:

The quality drivers where made for Games, not Benchmarks!!! They fix graphical errors, stability problems and add extra texture quality to games. If you want to use the drivers for Benchmarks or prefer faster gameplay, select the Performance option when asked by the Omega installer.

Read the BIOS information that I included in my NvidiaGF page before downloading my drivers, it includes optimization methods for your mother board's BIOS to make the video card and your system run faster and stable.

BTW, I'm NOT a programmer and I DON'T have the drivers source code, so don't ask for it, I just optimize what is available from NVIDIA, that's all.

IMPORTANT: Don't bother NVIDIA about these drivers as they are unsupported by them!
